Letter of Condolence for the Jack Family

August 4, 2005

Dear Joyce:

The Executive of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs is profoundly shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of your husband, Archie Jack.  As you know, Archie was a Grand Chief of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs and was a founding member and leader of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs in 1969.  We would like to express on behalf of the member communities of the Union of BC Indian Chiefs, our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for Archie’s lifetime dedication and effort to create a better home for all of our grandchildren.

During this trying time of inconsolable sorrow, we trust that the strength and love of your family, your relations and many friends will support you and your loved ones.  Our heart-felt prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

In closing, we once again convey our sincerest condolences for the untimely passing of your beloved husband.

Sincerely,

Chief Stewart Phillip

President

Chief Robert Shintah

Vice-President
