In partnership, the Province of British Columbia and the First Nations Leadership Council have tentatively reserved Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7, 2017 to hold the 4th annual BC Cabinet and First Nations Leaders’ Gathering (the Gathering) in Vancouver.

A formal invitation and more information will follow in June.

Invitations will be extended to you and one additional representative from your community (for a maximum of two delegates per First Nation). Only one representative from each First Nation will be eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses.

Request now: One‐on‐One Meetings

Due to overwhelming demand last year, and to accommodate the significant and growing interest of First Nations leaders to meet directly with BC Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers, the Province is providing an early opportunity for First Nations leaders to submit a prioritized request for up to three 15 minute one‐on‐one meetings at this year’s Gathering.

Requests may be made immediately through the Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation via email to [email protected]. 

First Nations leaders are strongly encouraged to submit their requests as soon as possible to improve the opportunity of securing one‐on‐one meetings. The Province will look to schedule as many meetings as possible, time and space permitting.

Meeting confirmations will be emailed to requestors prior to the Gathering.
