Permanent, Full-Time Policy Analyst

The Union of BC Indian Chiefs (UBCIC) is seeking a permanent, full-time Policy Analyst to support the work of our organization and assist in carrying out the mandate as directed by UBCIC’s member Nations. Reporting to the Policy Director, the successful candidate will work on a variety of files, conduct policy research, and develop written documents. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience working to advance Indigenous Title and Rights and working with First Nations communities, and providing technical support to political leadership, as well as contributing to and carrying out operations for a busy organization. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading, member-driven Indigenous political advocacy organization. The Union of BC Indian Chiefs (UBCIC) is seeking a permanent, full-time Executive Assistant to support the work of the organization and to assist the Policy Director and Policy Team in carrying out UBCIC’s mandate as directed by UBCIC’s member Nations. Reporting directly to the Policy Director, the Executive Assistant will hold an important role in the UBCIC Policy Department and provide an array of communications and administration support, including filing and managing incoming communications, coordinating meetings and schedules, liaising with eternal agencies and stakeholders on behalf of Policy Director and Executive, and providing logistical and communications support to the Policy Team as needed. By joining UBCIC you will become part of a leading, member-driven Indigenous political advocacy organization and have excellent opportunities for practical, on-the-job learning and engagement with a wide network of Indigenous Nations, organizations, and other partners.
