The Union of BC Indian Chiefs is seeking proposals to create an organization-wide records management plan, resulting in a retention and classification schedule as well as an implementation guide for both physical and digital records. The Union’s current records management practices vary both by department and staff-member and have grown organically with the organization, particularly with the advent of electronic records. UBCIC seeks to harmonize the overall records management and retention systems across all departments.

The successful candidate will have administrative experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to advancing Indigenous rights in British Columbia. This is an excellent opportunity to support the work of a strong and principled political organization, while building a wide range of administrative and logistical skills.

Compensation: This full-time position is based on a 35-hour work week. The salary range is $32,000–$35,000, depending on experience, with benefits provided upon successful completion of a 3-month probation period.
