Virtual All-Chiefs Meeting on the Implementation of the BC First Nations Climate Strategy and Action Plan
The FNLC will be hosting a virtual all-chiefs meeting on June 30, 2022, to discuss implementation priorities and next steps of the BC First Nations Climate Strategy and Action Plan (the Strategy) as endorsed by First Nations leadership via FNS Resolution No. 0222.06, UBCIC Resolution No. 2022-04, and BCAFN Resolution No. 06/2022.
The Strategy aims to support First Nations in BC to respond to the current climate emergency. The Strategy is grounded on a vision, five guiding principles, and four priority pathways for climate action. Within the pathways, the Strategy contains 27 themes, 63 objectives, and 143 strategic actions to support community specific needs, challenges, and priorities for climate action.
