UBCIC 51st ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY
SECOND NOTICE AND ELECTION REMINDER NOTICE

Dear Chiefs Council, sister organizations and friends:
The UBCIC 51st Annual General Assembly (AGA) is scheduled for October 1st- October 3rd, 2019. The AGA will be held at Musqueam Community Centre, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Territory) (6735 Salish Dr, Vancouver, BC). We are pleased to inform you the UBCIC will reimburse travel and accommodation costs for the Chief or the Chief's proxy for this AGA. Attached please find a proxy template letter if required.
At the UBCIC’s AGA this year, there will be an election for UBCIC President. Only those communities who are Full Members in good standing (have paid their membership dues for the current year) will be eligible to vote. Please contact Arnold Peters (email@example.com) to confirm if your community is in good standing. An official announcement and nomination forms will be sent out four weeks prior to the election.
If you haven’t had a chance to renew your membership for the current fiscal, please see the attached membership letter and contact Jody Woods (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you require assistance.

Nominations are being sought for one (1) representative to the Tripartite First Nations Labour Market Skills Steering Committee. Please see attached Notice of Position and the UBCIC Election Procedures and nomination form. Please note the elections will take place on October 2nd. As per the UBCIC Election Procedures, nominations must be received by 4:00 p.m. on September 17th.
If you would like to submit a resolution, please review the attached information regarding the UBCIC Resolutions Process as well as the attached resolution template for your use. The UBCIC Resolutions Process is also outlined at: www.ubcic.bc.ca/resolutions. Draft resolutions and briefing notes must be submitted by 4:00 pm on September 17th to email@example.com.
