The First Nations Leadership Council would like to thank you for your interest in attending the All Chiefs Meeting on Children and Families, which was scheduled for April 28^th and 29^th, 2020. Unfortunately due to the current national health concerns created by COVID-19, we have made the decision to postpone this meeting indefinitely. The health of our community members, in particular our children, Elders and those who are most vulnerable, is our primary concern and focus during this challenging time. We assure you that we are continuing the work to reform the current child and family services in British Columbia, alongside First Nations leadership as well as our government partners and we will make all efforts to ensure that the progress we have made here in BC on the resumption of jurisdiction over child welfare by Nations is not slowed significantly.

We will keep you informed once a new date for this important meeting has been set and in the interim will work to communicate out relevant information around First Nations child and family services and wellness to leadership and community.
