FINAL NOTICE

Dear Chiefs Council, sister organizations and friends:
The UBCIC Chiefs Council Meeting is scheduled for February 27th-28th, 2019. The Chiefs Council will be held at Musqueam Community Centre, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Territory)(6735 Salish Dr, Vancouver, BC V6N 4C6). We are pleased to inform you the UBCIC will reimburse travel and accommodation costs for the Chief or the Chief's proxy for this Chiefs Council Meeting. Please use the attached proxy template letter if required.
We note that February 27th is Pink Shirt Day- On February 27, 2019, we encourage everyone to wear pink to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying.
The room block at the River Rock Resort (8811 River Road, Richmond BC V6X 3P8) under the Union of BC Indian Chiefs is now gone, but please say you are with UBCIC to get a special rate. Please RSVP on the UBCIC website and book your room as soon as possible Reservations can be made by calling the hotels reservation department at 604-247-8900 or toll free at 1-866-748-3718.
